Platform One has been an independent design practice since 1969, and was producing interpretation panels before the term ‘interpretation’ was even in common use. In fact, ten displays depicting the history of Newport in South Wales, and two panels for installation alongside the Severn Estuary, were generated by screen-printing in the early 1980s. They were still on site in 2002 - though, by that time, they were looking somewhat weathered!

Our services include writing and designing eye-catching literature and displays; calligraphy and illustration - in pen and ink, watercolour and silk painting - suitable for reconstructions, topographical representations, wildlife images and map-making.
